Buchanan Health Center would like to introduce you to our newest provider and highly qualified DNP APRN-FNP, Pamala Howard, DNP APRN FNP-BC. Pamala comes to Buchanan Health Center with extensive clinical training and overall experience in the health care industry. She has over 23 years of experience in the medical field. As a nurse and nurse practitioner, Pamala has worked a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Her experience includes intensive care, oncology, cardiology, dialysis, primary care, and sub-acute rehabilitation to name a few. Therefore, her overall knowledge, experience and her positive attitude is what makes her exceptional with helping people achieve better health.

First of all, Pamala has a passion for learning. She stays abreast on available new treatments in the industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rasmussen College, Minnesota in 2018. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, Minnesota in 2020. In 2021 she earned her Family Nurse Practitioner FNP- BC. Recently, she earned her doctorate in nursing in October of 2022. In addition, she continues to grow her knowledge, training, and additional certifications with Buchanan Health Center. Not long ago, she completed Advanced Injection Training with Injection University and is now a Biote certified provider for Lake County. 

Not only is she in high demand at Buchanan Health Center, but you can also find her with her family and friends enjoying life. She loves spending time with her husband, three grown children, and her dog. Besides spending time with her family, you can find her reading a suspense novel or autobiography when she is relaxing or out and about shopping! 

Furthermore, Pamala is a great addition to Buchanan Health Center. She is proud to serve her community and welcoming new patients!
